March is Developmental Disability Awareness Month.  While trafficking can happen to anyone, people with disabilities have vulnerabilities that traffickers can exploit, particularly when strong support systems are not in place.

Healthcare professionals have a critical role in preventing and responding to trafficking. In recent listening sessions with healthcare professionals across roles, we learned about their educational needs and challenges.

For our inaugural blog post, we want to share who Justice U is, what we do, and how we can work together to make a difference preventing and ending human trafficking. At Justice U, we’re on a mission to empower individuals and communities to take actionable steps in the fight against human trafficking, and to care well for all those impacted by it.
